EVANGELISM (or sharing our faith!)

At Fetteresso we strongly believe that we should present the Good News about Jesus in an appropriate way to those in our community.

We believe that ‘lost’ people matter to God so they matter to us as well.

Jesus gave us this instruction himself in Matthew 28: 19-20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded.”

Therefore our mission is to enable a personal awakening of faith in Jesus Christ by allowing people the opportunity to respond freely to the gospel of God’s love in a setting which they find comfortable.

We believe that Evangelism is best achieved through relationships and friendships. To support this and envision our church family, we recently ran a 4 week sermon linked course based on “Just Walk Across the Room” by Bill Hybels.

Under the banner of Evangelism we run a continuous programme of Alpha courses throughout the year.

Our current outreach to children and young families is through:-

• Supersonics, a monthly club for primary school children
• An annual themed Holiday club, held in August each year
• Subsonics, a fun morning for 0-5 year olds and their grown-up companions
