The group was started by mothers within the membership of Fetteresso Church who saw it as part of the normal Christan outreach to the local town.  Under 3's is primarily to provide a service to the local community and a forum for the provision of opportunities for children of pre-playgroup age and their mothers/fathers/carers to meet together socially.  Everyone is expected to take a turn on a rota to assist with the usual daily items of setting out the toys and things.

Individual sections meet on Monday, Tuesday and Friday at 10am until 11.30am during the school terms.  Toys and games are available to suit the age of the child from small baby to age three birthday.  Apart from the opportunity for the child to mix with other children and play in the large hall, the parents have the time to chat with other parents whilst keeping an eye on their offspring.
