The Church exists to share the Good News. We do this in many ways through our own lives and as a congregation.
One way that we seek to share this is to offer the opportunity for people who want to explore, seek or know more about the Christian faith, and what we speak of as Good News in Jesus Christ, is to host an Alpha course. This is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an informal, often homely setting. it is certainly not a teacher - pupil classroom.
Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
Alpha is ten sessions with the option of a day or weekend away in the middle. Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts. At any point, if you think Alpha isn’t for you, that’s not a problem. There’s no pressure, no follow up and no charge.
We host this in different ways and different times across the year. Look out for Bulletin/Calendar notices.
This year we are asking some folks who have attended to share something of their story.
