Helping Others

Fetteresso Church has over 500 members, of whom roughly 200 more than 70 years old. This little area is to let you know how we are trying to stay together as a community, and to provide help and contact for folks, especially those who are older and thus more constrained at present.

  • We have arranged for all of our over 70s to be called by one of the elders on the telephone to check in on how they are doing and identify if they have anyone to help them at this time. Each elder is calling about 10 households, and we are hoping that they will continue to provide them with a regular contact with the church.
  • We have appealed for folk to help us with a "buddy system" - whereby some of the more sprightly members off our congregation would take on providing help/contact to one or two elderly people who would otherwise be isolated. If you are interested in helping this, please contact the office on office@fetteresso.org.uk
  • In the meantime, if you become aware of anyone who needs extra help, please let us know. We can't guarantee to fix the problem right now - however we hope that, as we do get volunteers coming in, we should be able to cover the critical needs in our Congregation.

Acts 2: 44-45: "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods they gave to everyone as they had need."

No one is asking us to sell the house, but at this time - our prayer is that, at least in a small way we can truly share the love of Christ as the early believers did.
